Re: Postini | Recent Filter David S NY 7/17/12 11:25 AM I should also mention the client indicated that Postini has temporarily blacklisted us as per there conversation with Postini.
Re: Postini | Recent Filter FrankM TC/Reseller 7/17/12 1:12 PM Postini does not blacklist, but will greylist an IP for about an hour, if it triggers any one of 4 network filters. The Postini client can add your IP(s), to bypass these network filters. However, regular spam filtering would still apply, unless they
Re: Postini | Recent Filter David S NY 7/17/12 8:18 PM Thanks Frank.   In this case we host a solution for our client and one of their recipients had the email blocked because of the grey list.    I always encourage SPF record use as past experience proves it does help.   Do you think the lack of the SPF

Re: Postini | Recent Filter FrankM TC/Reseller 7/18/12 5:53 AM No. SPF filtering is a different process within the network filtering component of Connection Manager. Re: Postini | Recent Filter David S NY 7/18/12 8:45 AM Frank thanks very much.  the recipient has in fact done just that, at least on an interim basis. The more intriguing question which I am trying to understand better, is why (and I am guessing this may be related to the configuration mentioned) only t
Re: Postini | Recent Filter David S NY 7/18/12 8:52 AM I guess it could also be possible FMR is the only recipient using Postini. But I do find it a little unlikely.
Re: Postini | Recent Filter FrankM TC/Reseller 7/18/12 9:39 AM If the IP(s) or IP range is added as a bypass, then it will not trigger the filter, which is configurable by the Postini account.
Re: Postini | Recent Filter David S NY 7/23/12 7:13 AM Frank, Is there anything further you can point out re: the triggers for Greylisting?   My customer is quite concerned and I can't seem to contact Postini directly, since it isn't my account that had an issue it was my clients client. Dave
