Didn't we have enough of that from 8 years of the Bush administration? Is there a way to prevent FOXNews from being a source that comes up in my Google new
Re: How do I exclude a news source? chuck_glenn 8/31/09 1:17 PM Even worse: Xinhua.  It's not just spun-to-death like FAUX NEWS.  Xinhua just makes stuff up!  Their latest "coverage" of the Dalai Lama visiting Taiwan reported about the hordes of protesters.  As if the Dalai Lama gets protesters EVER.  The Chinese
Re: How do I exclude a news source? rbtdanforth 9/1/09 11:25 AM relevantThere are many "News" stories that show up in Google News that have a Right Wing Spin often with headlines that are beyond outrageous, and shame on Google for even promoting such bigotry, hate, and Racism that much. Many of the sources are Ne
Re: How do I exclude a news source? rbtdanforth 9/1/09 11:34 AM Many "news" sources, including Fox and Xinhua, "just make stuff up". It is what got me to toss the television back when Google was still in Alpha mode! I would really like to see a fact checking algorithm that would at least highlight contested infor

Re: How do I exclude a news source? rbtdanforth 9/1/09 3:59 PM Been there and did that but was trying for a bit more nuance, and also would in the interim plead for a greater list of sources that are not so far to the Right. Democracy Now is no more left wing than Fox is right wing, but on a "Sticking to facts a
Re: How do I exclude a news source? B-Rad in FL 9/3/09 9:14 AM LOL ... you guys need help. Just stick to your MSNBC and Huffington post, you'll be fine. Name one article that Fox News has "made" up, and was disputed by CNN and MSNBC. Is Fox slanted?  Sure.  It seems 90% of their broadcast is commentary, as is
Re: How do I exclude a news source? methode 9/3/09 10:25 AM B-Rad in FL, are you a journalist by any chance?
Re: How do I exclude a news source? John NC 9/3/09 4:41 PM Many actual news sites, Real News, Democracy Now, Daily Kos, Huffington Post... That's hilarious!  You actually consider Huffpo and Kos to be legit news sites? Like the staff here at Google news, you need to learn the distinction between News and O
Re: How do I exclude a news source? asheton 9/6/09 10:21 AM how does Google news justify including "Why the Obama administration will implode in weeks" as well as "rush transcripts" of Fox shows if it isn't propaganda?  It is sickening to read the slanted headlines supposedly culled without source discriminat
Re: How do I exclude a news source? meechp123 9/11/09 9:25 AM Funny, asheton...I was thinking the same exact thing! Google, please allow us to exclude certain News Sources! Especially Fox News. I had enough. Also, remember "Don't be Evil!".
Re: How do I exclude a news source? mtfunk 9/15/09 1:20 PM I know it's hard not to be evil and corporate when you're a giant evil corporation, but Fox News is not even a facade of fair and balanced, despite their marketing slogan. I want that filth off my screen and until it is I'll get my serious news from
Re: How do I exclude a news source? meechp123 9/16/09 7:39 AM Seems like a simple request: Let us pick and choose which news sources appear in Google News. I can choose not to watch Fox News on my TV, I should be able to choose NOT to see their headlines in Google News.
Re: How do I exclude a news source? GrrrlRomeo 9/17/09 1:56 PM Whatever. Yeah, I hate FoxNews but I don't need it filtered from my news. I'm a big girl and can handle dissenting views. I was actually looking for help in excluding a news source in a personalized section. "Gaea Times (blog)" because a whole mess
Re: How do I exclude a news source? meechp123 10/1/09 7:15 AM Good for you GrrrlRomeo, that was truly helpful and I'm glad you can handle dissenting views. Still, I would love the ability to exclude a news source. I just can't bear any more Fox News headlines. Any word on this?
Re: How do I exclude a news source? MonkeyPUndit 10/9/09 12:26 PM I agree. I hear that Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. I'm happy for the man. But when I go to Google News, I don't want to have Fox News' Partisan Spin of "Some Analysts Warn Obama's Nobel Peace Prize Complicates War Efforts" pushed in my face
Re: How do I exclude a news source? meechp123 10/9/09 1:29 PM MonkeyPUndit: exactly!! Hello...Google... Does anyone actually read these requests? Re: How do I exclude a news source? browndogz 10/9/09 1:38 PM I agree with MonkeyPUndit and meechp123!  You GOOGLE FOLKS!!!!  Please allow us to edit out a news source.  The consensus is clearly against Fox (Faux) News!!!  Let us get them off our news source list, so that we can help eliminate right-wing propag
Re: How do I exclude a news source? ffr9r 10/11/09 8:57 AM There are a couple of different techniques that can be utilized to mostly reduce Fox News, but not entirely eliminate their propaganda from Google News. See article titled: Why are there so many Fox News Leads
Re: How do I exclude a news source? Justei 10/12/09 3:32 PM How about just making sure the 90% of opinion disseminated in Fox articles ends up in an Opinion section.  At least then it has its place and knowing their methodology, you probably would never see an article that is "news" from them again.
Re: How do I exclude a news source? methode 10/13/09 10:35 AM Hi guys, I would like to bring in your attention the "suggest feature" form of the Google News support platform. Re: How do I exclude a news source? babynow 10/16/09 7:37 AM "Filter out articles from specific news sites" has to be one of the most requested features.  Is anyone from Google working on this?  It seems this was requested by many people a long time ago.  Someone from Google, please respond.
Re: How do I exclude a news source? onymous 10/19/09 8:04 AM I want to add that I absolutely want this feature. I don't want to have to add custom sections with searches with the term -foxnews or whatever because it doesn't wind up being the same thing. I want to be able to add filters to the standard sections
