GE Post Wizard - is this a good thing? Gregg1956 6/23/12 11:51 AM In the past few weeks there has been an influx of misplaced and undesirable posts. This coincided with the ability to post directly from the Google Earth software with the GE Post Wizard being reactivated. I have to wonder if this is a good idea. It
Re: GE Post Wizard - is this a good thing? Masonicmoron 6/23/12 2:02 PM Hi This discussion has been posted before the posing wizard is a great tool for posting KML/Z without having to program the raw data.  Lots of posters only post once or twice.  It is a pity the user list has gone to confirm the usage, mind you with a
Re: GE Post Wizard - is this a good thing? Gregg1956 6/24/12 8:07 PM I want to clarify my point, since at least one member seems to have missed it entirely. Re: GE Post Wizard - is this a good thing? Masonicmoron 6/25/12 1:34 PM Hi Greg The last thing I want to do is insult anyone.  If you have read this in my reply I regret any such intention.  I am saying that the Posting Wizard takes a lot of the hard work out of posting, yes it does drive some information to be shared wi

Re: GE Post Wizard - is this a good thing? washi 1/20/13 8:15 AM I think it may be time to celebrate, Gregg!  It's been over 24 hours since I've seen an inappropriate post delivered by the posting wizard.  If so, this is (IMHO) a major step forward.
Re: GE Post Wizard - is this a good thing? Gregg1956 1/20/13 2:42 PM Hi washi. I got so excited when I saw your reply. This would, indeed, be a time for celebrating but alas... it seems the PW is still in place. I think it's just malfunctioning. I just tested it and got all the way to the editor. I couldn't add text

Re: GE Post Wizard - is this a good thing? Gregg1956 1/20/13 7:55 PM No, please washi, don't feel bad. It's not your fault at all. This is something that has been building up inside me for weeks. For a month I've been coming here every day and hoping "this will be the day" that the PW is gone and every day I'm disappo

They've been moving the posts that are shotgun blasted into the GEC for months now, and they've shown amazing patience, resilience and
Re: GE Post Wizard - is this a good thing? Gregg1956 1/22/13 3:15 PM I'm pretty good at reading subtext and I got the message loud and clear. For the record, I have been patient and dedicated. It was out of dedication to the GEC that I wrote what I did. The above reply, pointedly not addressed to me (got that message
Re: GE Post Wizard - is this a good thing? craigd 1/23/13 9:10 AM Hi Gregg, I think you may have misunderstood my message, as I meant no disrespect or lack of appreciation.  As far as dedication and patience goes, I completely recognize your contributions, as well as others, and I in no way meant to imply that you
Re: GE Post Wizard - is this a good thing? Gregg1956 1/23/13 10:32 AM Craig - if I misunderstood you I'm sorry. Let me give you another analogy of what it's like for me, coming here every day: it's like watching someone I love get beat up and not being able to do anything about it. I call the cops and they say "we'll b
