You cannot leave New Zealand out of your List..
Attached is a placemark of a Sundial in the Botanical Gardens here in Christchurch. I photographed it last year and was going to add it to my post Christchurch Historic Places but have not got round to updating it yet..
So add this one to your Folder and I will delete the Placemark from this post when you have.

I coudn't find an attachment here so I downloaded your placemark Christchurch Historic Places and I must say its a great job. I found the botanical gardens in Christchurch, I found a big circular thing, I found the gnome but no gnonom to identify the sundial. Can you please give me the coordinates?
Your placemark of Christchurch is fantastic. Its really interesting and a very nice layout-style inside the placemark.
Thanks for your praise.

Hi, I found this sundial on GE. The diameter is about 7 meters.
It is located in Neuhausen (Germany), very close to the Neuhausen training center of the THW (German federal agency for disaster relief): buildings are about 60 meters and the fake debris area is about 100 meters to the west of the sundial.
I don't know if the sundial belongs to the training center. But I'm attending a course there next week, so I probably will have the time to take a look and maybe a photo of the sundial.

I sware that this the two circles on the right and left are two sundials, in the same square!!! how about that?? The only problem is the very low-res.

Here's another one for your collection. There's a longer explanation and some photos taken on the ground here.

I know that there is also a sundial in Leiden, The Netherlands. It's in front of windmill "De Valk". The imagary in Google Earth is of low resolution, so it's only the semi-circular shape that stands out. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of the sundial.

Until further notice I put your 2 sundials in the folder "In Progress" as far as I have a photo or more info.

I was pleased to find your collection on Google Earth. I am very engaged with the worldwide sundial community and am pleased to see that you have used Google earth to add a new perspective to our appreciation of the art and science of sundials. They are so location specific!
I would like to contribute to your collection. but need to learn how to yus the GE Community. As a test I am attempting to provide a kmz attachment for an Ottoman sundial I recently designed for the Missouri Botanical Garden. I hope it is attached to this message.

Hi Felippo, I've got another sundial to add
I saw this sundial as I was driving through rural Alberta last week, unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me, and the imagery isn't great at this location.
|Re: Sundials in Google Earth: Victoria Sundials||WalkingShadow||12/15/08 2:08 PM|
Attached is my second submission, a sundial tour of Victoria, British Columbis. Canada. I hope you find it useful.
I am encouraging other members of the sundial community in NASS and on the Sundial Mailing List to look at this site and contribute sundial kmz files.

Here's another one that IS visible in Street View.
A nice sundial at the beginning of the Lijnbaanstraat, Groningen. The inscription reads "What time does not resolve, is not a problem".
