For a five day journey floating down the mississipi, it would be closer to perhaps fifty miles. I have found a suitable candidate at N39 11 23.13 W90 43 17.15. it is about 3.5 x .75 m

It appears now as three islands (eroded by times and tides) instead of one. It's where Huck meets up with Jim before they start downriver. Mark Twain Museum Coordinates N39 42
