|Line item shipping - mark x quantity as despatched||Wiggee||7/26/12 2:43 AM|
I have successfully integrated line-item shipping in my project but have now come across another issue. In my admin system I am able to split an order into multiple shipments. Is it possible to specify a quantity of items in an order that are shipped ?
Example: I have an order of 100 items. They are all the same item with the same merchant-item-id ( 1 item but a quantity of 100 ). I split the order into 2 shipments of 50 items each. I then despatch one of the shipments in my admin system. In GC this updates ALL 100 items' order status as despatched and sends an email notification to the buyer saying all 100 items have been despatched. If I then despatch the second shipment it then sends another email notification to the buyer saying ALL 100 items have been despatched.
Here is an example of my ship-items xml post:
Is there any way I can specify a quantity of items to be marked as despatched ? Maybe by splitting the order into 2 separate items of 50 ? Has anyone come across this issue before or has an idea of a workaround ?
