I'm using Google Calendars, experimenting with it as a group event calendar for our club. Everyone seems to like it, except that our events have several data items that presently must be put in the notes section, where they tend to get buried in the descriptions and other variable details.
I'd like to be able to add custom fields that would appear on all entries to given calendar. This is presently possible in Google contacts, where a Custom Field and Value pair can be added to each contact.
I'd also like to be able to use HTML or BBCode to highlight or otherwise format the contents of the notes section. That would be helpful if the custom fields are not available.
Anyone know if either of these are possible? If not, I'd like to see them added as future suggestions.

I second that notion, this feature would be most useful for scheduling special events with different equipment and staffing needs. Especially with the recent addition of App scripts to Google spreadsheet, a custom calendar field would make it a breeze to do daily work order sheets and help run numbers at the end of the week or month. I hope this is in the works.

Any news on this topic. Would be great to have the possibility of user defined fields. The best thing would be if a google calender event could reference a row in a google table and if there is a form designed to add and edit data this could be used.

I'm anxious for this feature too. If I post a recurring meeting that has a different topic each time, it would be great to use that field to specify the topic.
Bonus points if you can define if it shows in the event title that shows in your calendar so you don't have to edit the event to see it.
