Re: Color code your individual events! Rogers_Blant 5/11/11 10:25 AM kdconod - nope, disagree; What most were asinjg for was an outlook-like facility to make the entries stand out through the use of colours: for an all-day wvwnt, that's what we got - a solid bar od colour. Re: Color code your individual events! tessler65 5/12/11 6:29 AM Hate the color coding.  Why do I want little colored dots all over my calendar?  Not helpful.  Especially since all my events are color-coded based on which calendar I've put them into. Re: Color code your individual events! Ricky Maveety 5/26/11 3:48 PM It's OK.  Not great, but OK. What I keep hoping is that you will allow black text on the lighter calendar colors, so that colors such as yellow are a little easier to view.  White text for all events and tasks can be hard to read on a mobile device.

Re: Color code your individual events! kdconod 8/4/11 7:25 AM Sorry nibes - it is what it is...I for one am very disappointed in how this was implemented. All we need was to color code the font - not introduce all these little squares. The squares don't even line up - very messy!

Re: Color code your individual events! CarsonBoyd 8/28/11 2:50 PM I would love to be able to assign a title to a color, so that I don't have to always remember that Purple equals music gigs, etc.  Or perhaps a legend could be created to remind me of the choices I made.
Re: Color code your individual events! ohio user 8/28/11 3:40 PM There is a workaround for the no legend problem. Use the task list and create your legend there. E.g., "X is red, Y is blue, etc." You actually have to type the text out so it's a bit clumsy, but it's better than nothing. You can hide and unhide the
Re: Color code your individual events! A007kath 8/31/11 7:05 AM # 1: I'd really need to have more color choices, for the individual things I plan. Re: Color code your individual events! kdconod 9/14/11 10:11 AM I agree - when users began clamoring for color coding, that was what we really wanted: to color code the text not add a little box. And it seems for a lot of people not even the stupid box is working.
Re: Color code your individual events! ohio user 9/14/11 5:06 PM we don't all get little boxes. Some of us do get the full color band on the calendar cell. And i have noticed that sometimes I have it that way, and sometimes it is the little box. Also, sometimes on one page, there is a mixture---full bands of color
Re: Color code your individual events! Cyndi25 9/22/11 12:20 PM Is there a way to assign a name to the colors? Exercise = Red, Doctor Appts = Yellow, Pay the mortgage, or any other bills = Black. Re: Color code your individual events! djmills32 9/30/11 4:27 AM It would be great if each calendar had a default colour that could be set so that it was easy to visually distinguish events in each calendar. Re: Color code your individual events! FKH 10/4/11 4:38 AM Adrienne, I'm not sure why you are so happy. Why not be as good as Outlook? Re: Color code your individual events! kdconod 10/4/11 7:49 AM You can change the color of your calendars by clicking on the arrow next the calendar name and selecting the color from the blocks at the bottom of the menu.
Re: Color code your individual events! kdconod 10/4/11 7:54 AM Why isn't Google Calendar as good as Outlook? That is an apples & oranges comparison. Outlook is an application that runs on your computer. Outlook is part of Microsoft Office which costs...what about $100? Meanwhile Google Calendar costs you...nothi

Re: Color code your individual events! Adnil Sirk 2/9/12 8:40 AM This is a great functionality, except that you're forcing everyone to use a pastel palette that many of us hate. Re: Color code your individual events! ThisAccount 2/10/12 1:41 PM I can color code events I create on the Google Calendar.  I cannot color code events that I allow to be downloaded for events from other sites -- e.g. a meeting I've said I'd go to on Meetup.com.  (Note:  Once those are on the calendar I also cannot

Re: Color code your individual events! Pharrett 2/15/12 3:07 PM I have a calendar with many different color coded events.  I need to share this calendar, but when I share it, the colors are not the same.  Anyway to share it so the user sees the same colors I do?  They have been given the correct access to see dif
Re: Color code your individual events! Skammie 2/15/12 4:36 PM Colors are not transferable, so there is no way for a shared user to also see the same colors...unless they set it up themselves.
Re: Color code your individual events! b.singh 2/22/12 4:49 PM I would like to give a +1 for automatically colorizing certain events based on what I type. IE: When I schedule a work shift have it colorized blue automatically. I know it seems lazy, but lazy to some is efficiency to others...
Re: Color code your individual events! Ela Stic 2/27/12 12:57 AM Hi all, I like this feature and I use it to categorize my event types, e.g. work, family, party, etc. However, I miss the possibility to (automatically) link colors to event types, e.g. filter the given colors to only 4-5, change the given colors, a
Re: Color code your individual events! tangwil 3/11/12 1:14 PM I would really like to see the possibility of rules too please!!!  It is so slow individually coloring 25 different events each week and setting rules like in Outlook would save LOTS of time

Re: Color code your individual events! janelj54 3/28/12 3:21 PM I seem to have the opposite problem.  I have edit rights on my husband's calendar (I'm sure there's a joke there somewhere) but I don't want to see all of the colors he assigns things because it screws up my own color based management scheme.  I want

Re: Color code your individual events! bickerdyke 6/25/12 12:12 AM I don't think there is a mobile app that can process those individual event colors
Re: Color code your individual events! Hawkeye24 7/6/12 2:04 PM It would be nice to be able to personalize each color so it's easier to remember what color is assigned to what type of event. i.e. yellow can be changed to say work. purple-appointments. red-class. etc.
