I love the ability to add extra calendars and layering but would also like to be able to view calendars side by side like on this picture.
Is there a lab or any method I can use to achieve this?

Yes, me too. I would love to be able to see calendars side by side rather than overlapping all on one calendar. I

This has been a request that has been out there for more than a year by more than a handful of people.
Is there an eta for this feature?

Can we get any response on this from the Calendar Team? Like an "in the works" or a "not gonna happen." Either way would be nice.

Are you a Googler?
Have you passed this feedback onto the Google Apps Calendar team?
Have you had any response from the Calendar team?
Please don't build our hopes up if you cannot deliver as this is a much sought after feature and we'd hate to be left hanging on a promise that never comes to fruition.

Rupesh and I are not Google employees - we're just people who enjoy using G/Calendar and are trying to help people with G/Cal questions.
I don't think Rupesh has promised anything - all he said was that he'd "pass it to the Calendar team". The "voice of the customer" has now been fed back to the Google team, who can discuss it together with the multitude of other requests which come in and prioritise it based on costs vs benefits.
Kyle Stoffers: I suspect that even the Googlers wouldn't be able to confirm / guarantee any enhancements - anything they're working on might be reprioritised, so they won't confirm what is coming until it's absolutely certain.

And just to confirm, Top Contributors and Rising Stars like Rupesh and Patrick do pass along items like this to me (I'm a Googler) and we can evaluate as a team.
We rarely can make any sort of guarantees, as Patrick mentioned. We still definitely value these sorts of comments and feedback, as it helps us shape the product!

Thanks KatherineG, PatrickW and RupeshD for giving up your time to assist with questions and problems, this service is greatly appreciated.
The reason for my blunt posting is that we have just migrated a very high profile customer to Google Apps and the single biggest issue is the PA's of the CxOs do not like the calendar view and if the PA's aren't happy then neither are the exces. They want a side by side view of calendar that resembles Outlook and as it stands there is no solution out there so the possibility of this being passed to the product team has raised some glimmer of hope in me. However I have all to often seen a feature request with lots of support and years of feature requests never come to anything and on that basis I would be inclined to develop something if Google wasn't going to. Here again I have started to develop a tool to do something specific over and above what an existing tools does only to hear Google are releasing the next version of this tool with that exact functionality. This hasn't yet been release some 3 months later so I could have developed the required functionality and made it available to those requesting it.

If i select multiple calendars with sometimes overlapping events, then i'd like to see my calendar as the "most importent" one. But mostly my events are hiding behind the ones from the other calendars. Is there any possibility to change this?
Thanks for advise
