| Ads displaying their parent url instead! | hairboy | 5/1/12 10:42 PM | Hi everyone, I've been using AdSense trouble free for some years now on my site http://www.TrackKing.org. But over the past few months, I've noticed that some particular pages on my site are suddenly displaying themselves within the Adsense block, rather t |
| Re: Ads displaying their parent url instead! | TomNJ | 5/1/12 11:53 PM | Weird. If you click on that link it redirects to a page on your site. Something definately screwy on adsense's end. |
| Re: Ads displaying their parent url instead! | hairboy | 5/2/12 12:02 AM | Comparing to how Adsense displays on other pages, the second iframe looks like it shouldn't be there? When the ads work correctly on my site, it's just <ins> <ins> <iframe> without the second iframe |
| Re: Ads displaying their parent url instead! | Kukana | 5/2/12 1:08 AM | I'm not sure I understand the complexity of your question - but if you're using Adsense code in an iframe, that's not allowed. From the policy overview: "AdSense code may not be altered, nor may the standard behavior, targeting or delivery of ads be |
| Re: Ads displaying their parent url instead! | hairboy | 5/2/12 1:17 AM | I'm not using adsense in an iframe - I'm analysing the results of the google javascript (which inserts an iframe) It's a simple problem, but I'll restate. - I have used AdSense without problems for 4+ years on this site. - All pages on my site are ge |
| Re: Ads displaying their parent url instead! | Kukana | 5/2/12 1:26 AM | Ah, okay. Yes, that's clearer. Unfortunately I can't get either of those two pages to load - I assume I would need to be registered to do so. The only pages I could browse on your site were the extensive help pages, and I could not see any Adsense u |

| Re: Ads displaying their parent url instead! | Kukana | 5/2/12 1:42 AM | I'll try and flag this for one of the Google Pros to take a look. It's beyond me, I'm afraid. |
| Re: Ads displaying their parent url instead! | Kukana | 5/8/12 9:26 PM | Okay, I've had a response: Apparently, this problem is related to with the way you have your backup ads set. | Re: Ads displaying their parent url instead! | hairboy | 5/8/12 11:45 PM | That does make sense, and I appreciate you looking into it for me. Thankyou very much for your time and effort. | Re: Ads displaying their parent url instead! | JoyAZ | 5/17/12 7:27 AM | YES! YES! YES! I'm having the exact same problema and have been scouring this forum for others with this issue. (see my recent post titled 'entire website repeating itself within google ad space') For me it happens when I use "www" with my domain nam |
| Re: Ads displaying their parent url instead! | JoyAZ | 5/17/12 7:30 AM | So where does one change the preferences for backup ads? |
| Re: Ads displaying their parent url instead! | JoyAZ | 5/17/12 7:37 AM | I have mine set for "show blank space" so I can't imagine why this would be happening. If I change to "show solid color" will that remove the issue? |
| Re: Ads displaying their parent url instead! | hairboy | 5/17/12 9:10 AM | There were two things I changed: One of them was the "solid colour" thing you mention. The other, was to clear all cookies and cache. The combination of the two fixed the problem.... not sure which one was the actual solution though ;-) |
