I totally disagree. Not everyone views their video as something which
should be judged either way or they other. I certaibnly don't. I make
music and make what I feel is an interesting video to go along with it.
Love, hate it. I DON"T WANNA KNOW. Why? What I do is internally
informed. That simple. Most the things people love by me I really can't
stand. And, no, I'm not the kind of person who tends to do things just
to be popular. I feel it's wrong for YouTube to promote popularity as an
ends. Putting values on things is STATIC anyway. People change,
opinions change, moods change, contexts change. When people are
preoccupied with rating and judging they are just reaffirming the boxes
that society has been trying to put us in all along. It would be so much
better if all comments and ratings were gone. Maybe we'd start talking
to our closest friends again, and fighting as we always had. As opposed
to bickering with FACELESS strangers. |
