Indeed Ray has lots of haters :) I'm one of his subscribers and I enjoy his show very much. Haters will always be haters and one can hope that users will isolate them and promote/support constructive comments or comments that contribute to a possible ongoing discussion. However, when someone publishes a video online for all the world to see he/she should be willing to accept criticism. I want to believe that most youtube users expect to gain something from the content that is uploaded on the website and that trolls constitute a minority. On a side note, I think that Ray has a good sense of humor, accepting intentionally insulting comments twisting them around and using them for funny lines on his show. To conclude, I don't know whether removing the rating option, the comments or both is indeed the major point here. What is important though is that every user who uploads some content is treated the same way by the viewers as well as that everyone is able to express his opinion freely on it. Everyone or none. That's up to the 'universal' rules of the website. I may be too naive but that's just my opinion on the subject.
