I'd definitely want you to stick with your present account. This is more for troubleshooting purposes. I'd like to see if this problem persists when you create a second throwaway account and attempt to link. This way we can see if there's an issue with way the app is handling the data on its end or if there's something with your account we should look into.
The steps that I posted are for people that haven't created a channel yet, which was the main cause of the issue. It looks like your case is different since you already have one established. I hope this clears up some confusion!
