If you have or upgrade your account to a Google+ account, then you can use your Google+ name! It is supposed to be your real name, and you can use a Google+ account exactly like a YouTube "channel." Your Google+ name then, your real name, would be shown when you comment, upload, share, etc.

 

But wait! There's MORE!

 

You can have a Google+ account, with a Google+ name (your name), and a Google+ channel, but if you DON'T want your Google+ account name, your real name to show up on YouTube, you can switch your Google+ channel to a YouTube channel, with whatever available name you like.
