From the top right, I see my e-mail address displayed with an arrow to the right of it, that when you click it, it expands to the options like

My Channel
Video Manager
Subscriptions
Inbox
Settings
Switch Account
Log Out

I saw that when you click on Settings option, you're on a page where it says Account status and I see three green Good standing statuses.

When I click on My Channel in the drop down, it says

http://www.youtube.com/create_channel

and I have to create a user name and channel.  I don't even know what a channel is.  What is that anyways?

The avatar icon to the left of the top right corner of the screen that shows my e-mail address is a gray shaded icon of a blank person.
