I have the same issues and i also have the following issues:
1. Playback and audio stops for about two seconds on every video at about 0:40. It's not buffering, it just stops even if half of the video is already buffered.
2. There are some graphical glitches. It seems some graphic files are missing, it looks like they are missing for some resolutions, if the TV changes resolution (depending on the video) they seem to disappear or come back.
3. Navigating the app is much slower. When pressing a key there is a recognizable delay (a second?) until the app reacts. Thumbnails of videos appear with a long delay.
4. Most options in TV Menu are grayed out now if Youtube app runs
6. TV screen saver activates during video playback

All these are new issues, i didn't have these problems with YouTube app v1.041.
