a top contributor or staff member can block you, and there's no appeal. that's what happened to Witchfinder. it's also happened to ClostridiumDifficile now, because a member of staff asked someone to post some information. some idiot marked the posts as abusive. CD unmarked them, quite correctly, and was immediately blocked from posting ever again. it happened here

so Matti Brad-Lee deZune had to post his evidence again here

he said "discussion shall NOT be locked".

someone locked it.

he said "The accused SHALL be suspended."

he isn't.

he said "the blocked member SHALL be unblocked."

i don't know if he is, but i bet he isn't.

he said "the investigation SHALL take place IMMEDIATELY, rather than leaving it for days on end."

i bet there will never be any investigation, and the whole thing is being swept under the carpet, which isn't fair on those who don't cheat. i don't know Matti, but if he does post the story on CNN, i dread to think what will happen.

NOTE: i did not see any of this as i have been away, but i pretty much always have a friend who does witness these sorts of things.
