As many others here, I'm extremely upset if the branding options are not available to me. Last night I received my email telling me I was a partner, and apparently what that really meant was that I don't get anything extra, I just get a change in my rank name. I've been waiting for a response to my partnership application for over a few years now and my fans have been supporting me and always asking me to apply, imagine my extreme disappointment when I find that not only is my newly found 'Partner' status worth nothing more than my previous monitization status, but also that I can no longer "apply" to get the features I really want - those of branding, custom thumbnails, and the small rectangular image that appears above every YouTube video. These features are the big reason that everyone wants to be a partner - in fact, there are only a few other widespread reasons. It feels like instead of making progress and working my way up the chain, I've been tied down and told to shut up and that I'll be approached when it's appropriate. I strongly hope that these features will be implemented to at least most of the "Partners" that have just been promoted, because I'm sure that everyone, much like me, works very hard on their content and has been waiting for this big moment (which has been a HUGE let down and excitement burn). Moving on from this to a quick personal point: I personally have a website/business associated with my channel. Why on earth do some companies achieve partnership status (and I'm talking about proper partnership, not the stupid partnership that many of us hold at the moment) from simply being a company - many company accounts have far fewer views and far less quality content (and in some case subscribers) than channels such as myself. Please sort this YouTube or at least let us know what the hell is happening (and if it is that we're crippled partners who don't get any extra features - I'd appreciate a sincere apology for the trickery and disappointment caused).
