I recently saw the YouTube iPhone app, and they got it down properly there. It shows a green thumb up with a percentage of likes (if 50% or more) and conversely, a red thumb down with a percentage of dislikes instead (if over 50%).

Either way, you can tell at a glance how the video is faring, and if the majority like or dislike the video. It would be awesome to include that on the real site.
