Re: "Most likely your issue is from the upload glitch where as you closed the malfunctioning upload window..."
No - in my case, in no instance did I close the upload window before the upload completed. I monitored data outflow (independently of the browser) and could see that data was flowing out normally, so I didn't close the upload window (tab actually). In all cases, I received confirmation that the upload was complete (via Video Manager), but then - after a short time processing - only one second appeared on-line. Now the full length of the video loads, but there is no sound beyond one second.
Re: "I'm curious as to what you mean by un-re-processed though" - What I mean is taking the original avi file from my camera and converting it into another format (before uploading it), which works, but has degraded picture quality. To go back over the history of the past couple of weeks - first I completed uploads, never closing the upload window/tab, but after a short processing time, only 1-second (and always exactly 1-second) of the video appeared on-line. Then, using files that I had converted into another format and uploading them in the same way (also with no visual indication of the upload occurring beyond my monitoring data flowing out of my computer) they uploaded successfully. 1) 100% failure rate with original avi files, 2) 100% success rate with reformatted (and damaged picture quality) files. (Also note that I've had almost no problems with this file format for two years of uploading the same type of file.) and 3) Several files all uploading and appearing in full length, but with only one-second of sound. |
