It's very simple. YouTube is a business monopoly. There is no other site that users can go to for popular videos.

And at this rate the only thing that can make YouTube listen is users leaving but users can't leave because there is nothing to go to. It worked good for Myspace. in 2010 Myspace started pushing changes no one liked so what did everyone do, they moved to Facebook, 2012 Facebook pushed timeline, If people hate that they move to Twitter.

As was the viral video in 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V025E_b5I4g it was warning us of Google Changes. At the time before Google Fully took over users expressed their dislike and the whole idea was dropped. GUESS WHAT! A year later we get pushed down the steamed crap layout which everyone in 2010 thought was a April Fools joke. Now to me I'm just laughing at changes Google does. I mean if you seriously think about it I think Google employees go on YouTube and just say "hmm what is a good feature users use we can get rid of or break it"

1. They killed the YouTube community now it's full of sponsors and advertisers.
2. They ruined the YouTube channel pages which forced users to make less creative layouts because they have less control.
3. In the screenshots of the new Google+ type YouTube layout, Google is testing it removed user uploaded videos and only display Related videos or recommended videos. Which is just a hidden trap to have Promoted Videos on top of the list.

All in All we are in the dark ages my friend and unless someone step up and make a REAL video site (Not a fake site like Zippcast which just use old ass retired 2007 layouts) we're doomed.
