Me newest video is stuck "Under review" for 5 days now... I can't post the link to it on some forums, as I usually do, because I don't want to loose the "first wave of views", which is usually the biggest. Sh*%^t !! :(
I don't mind YouTube is doing some maintenance / upgrading etc. That's OK. What makes me angry is that there is no information from them about it - they send messages like "Analytics is going really slow, but don't worry, we are about to change the batteries" (or sth like that), yet nothing about far bigger issue of not monetizing the videos... If they send a message "For a month or so monetization might not working as it used to work, so consider this in your plans", or "From now on the monetization review will take more time, at least few days, so please be patient", or anything else like this, I wouldn't be so angry. But now I'm sitting and waiting for who knows what? I don't know if the video "Under rewiev" is stuck because of a glitch (un-monetize and re-monetize? and wait another 5 days??), or because it is really queued for review, I have no idea when it will be reviewed if it's in the queue, I don't know if it is reasonable to upload any new videos (and loose another "waves of first views"?), I don't know anything, except the fact that there are more people like me in such a situation (which is a little help ;) ).
I started this small aquarium television of mine some time ago, I don't have much income out of it, and yet I put every effort to make high quality videos with educational value, hoping for some development in the future.

I agree with you 100%! I was really happy and thankful for the small income I was getting - this was not much, but gave the hope for development, as I could feel that I have some impact on the future of what I do (not much income now -> optimizing my website, making some promotions, uploading more videos, uploading better videos -> having more views and more income, and so on). Now it seems that the efforts are pointless... (obviously, they are probably not, but we are left in the dark to ourselves...). And we can't even do anything to YT, except signing off from their Services...
Grrr...!!!
