What do people think of adding the ability to put Recommended videos in the left sidebar as a category like Trending, Popular, Music, and Entertainment? I would much rather use the space for a 2-column view of subscriptions' videos rather than the tall column we have now.

My request isn't for everyone, and I'm sure people have their own ideas. To be more general, a more customizable front page layout would be nice. I have a lot of subscriptions, but someone else might want to show Recommended videos as one column and Music as another. You basically have a left sidebar of categories, and each category can be "undocked" and put into 1 of 2 columns instead. If you only undock 1 category, it expends to use the width of both columns.
