While I do like the fact that YouTube is constantly updating its structure to make it more accessible and less complicated, some things are a bit unnecessary. For example, when I am looking at my home page at the moment and look at videos on my front page I want to check out the content of the channels that I am subscribed to, but I miss out on most of them since I now have a lot of videos that are related to my viewing. Not a bad idea, but honestly not very well executed. Instead of it being friendly to my choice what I want displayed on my front page I now have this huge cluster **** of videos from channels that I am not even subscribed to, I especially like the option on top that says "Show Uploads only" and still have all of these related videos in my home feed, pardon the sarcasm there. To shorten my point is that now I have to go through all my subscriptions separately to see what new videos have my subs posted instead of it being easy to find in my home feed. Again, I am very friendly towards idea of constant improvement, but at this point I feel like I am being shovel-fed all the links that I would usually just go look for myself though the regular search or look at video's related links. I am sorry if this sounds bit harsh, do not take it that way. It may sound old fashioned, but going back to something simpler would be bit more progressive at this point. Thank you.
P.S. Sorry for any grammar errors, my English is my second language. |
