I am using an HTC Amaze 4G running Android 2.3.4. I am able to use the YouTube app just fine. However, when I follow a YouTube link from within Facebook, it takes me to the mobile Youtube site, rather than the app, and the video won't load. It shows the preview image, but when I touch it to play, the video window is black. No error messages appear. 

P.S. Directing someone to use RealPlayer is not an acceptable solution. I need to be able to touch the link and for YouTube to play it like it did until a couple of days ago.
