Re: Changing the Channels by March 7

Yet another example of the deceptive and pointless - "Don't worry, you can revert to the old channel by........." which is appearing online more and more, when the intention all along by the company is to force the user to switch to the new design on a certain date anyway. Why waste people's time by pretending otherwise? Luckily I knew this forced change was coming in March. I thought it was March the 1st though, and seeing my old channel design still in place I thought Google had backtracked (until seeing the channel design switch now after the 7th). Oh well, that's the end of our customized channels then. If a viewer can no longer watch a video on someone's own channel screen but are diverted off into YouTube 'watch this next' screens, then the illusion of us still having indidividual channels is just that....an illusion. All the little tools of moving the bars up and down, are essentially futile. Google knows I'll still use YouTube to watch videos, but I've given up on my channel and will close it soon (not that Google gives a toss either way) as it's reduntant now both for my viewing and friend's viewing. Big mistake, Google. I'll probably open an account with another company, that will allow us to upload videos in better quality. The trade off of using YT for that, was the connectivity and customization of channels. Now that is reduntant so there is no incentive for someone to create a central place for videos they upload.
