@mchenrycruiser - some people are complaining just to complain, but a lot of people have legitimate issues that are being swept under the rug or just ignored.  The lack of customization being one - sure now youtube channels will be more consistent across the site, but what about the user's brand being consistent?  Right now my channel is set up with a matching color scheme to my blog - and with the new design I can't even change the color of the font?  Not cool.  & some people are just frustrated that youtube is wasting time on this when there are other known issues they could be working on & stuff that has been broken for weeks like the series playlist checkbox that needs to be fixed.
