The reason theyre not listening to any of us is because they've long since passed the critical mass of users and market dominance, so our protestations count for squat- They are "too big to fail"  and as such can pretty much do what they want.

Despite the many pissed off users in these forums, we are just a tiny drop in the ocean. Even if we all move to Vimeo etc they know they are too ubiquitous and that there are millions of users too stupid or apathetic to even realise whats going on.

The only way we could get anywhere would be to somehow reach ALL google users and persuade them to stage a mass exodus, renouncing all usage of ANY google product. But lets face it, thats about as likely as a Kardashian keeping her legs shut. And even if we did manage to topple these arseholes we'd just end up going elsewhere and creating the next corporate cthulu.

Nevertheless, its like recycling, if we all take responsibility for our little part and one by one leave google, we will have the collective power to gradually erode their dominance and show them that we people arent here to just accept their corporate shafting. And we can even use THEIR forum to spread the word! (For now at least)

Im seriously considering an all out boycot. FFS even Apple let you install windows on Mac OS and look at what tyrants they are!!

Now Im just worried about the fact that I've got an Andoid phone!
