Same thing happens to me, but it only affects my Wii, and is not just limited to 3 seconds. It could go only 3 seconds in, it could play a quarter of the way or even halfway through the video. Sometimes, it could even make it just shy of the end, and then... It'll start buffering. The buffering process does not proceed at all. It just stays there and doesn't move. Once it enters this buffering state, it's over. The system might as well of crashed, because the video does not continue. I can start up another video just as easily, but once again, that video will go into an endless buffering state too. This problem does not occur on my computers, my cell phone, or my PS3. Just my Wii.
