Yes, I have recently noticed that I cannot press Return for a new paragraph also.
Now, when I post a comment, it's just limited to a long string of words which does make it look lesser than what it does if the comment is broken up into a paragraph or two.
This has recently kicked-in as of 21st June 2012.
Some of the comments that I post on users' videos do have techical bits-and-pieces contained within them, so I occasionally like to use return so that I can lay out the comment as shown below:
(1).....First point,
(2).....Second point,
(3).....Third point,
Etc.
Now, because I cannot use the Return to start a new line, it will with no choice to me, be laid out as:
(1).....First point (2).....second point (3).....Third point, Etc.
Really it doesn't look good, or for that matter, when I am trying to get across (within the restrictive limit of 500 characters!)the techical aspects of something electrical.
This also brings me onto something else: The character limit. Why 500 characters. Occasionally, when I find myself needing to explain technicalities in detail, I find myself having to spread out my comment over two or more posts, as thus:
(Message 1 of 2) First comment of 500 characters goes here....
(Message 2 of 2) Second, and concluding comment goes here....
Really, wouldn't 750 characters be better, or maybe 1000?
But yes, this thing of not being able to use Return for a new line, or to start a new paragraph: It's really starting to peeve me off. The biggest peeve, is when I go to start a new line....A half-complete message gets posted instead!!
Now then, as you can see, I've used paragraphs to 'break-up' this post into readable 'chunks'. It also adds a bit of character to the message, instead of a long string of words.
But of course, if you prefer to read a long string of words that looks like a robot made the comment, then I have repeated this comment below, as a long string of words.
OK, that's my little rant over, thank you for reading,

Same message below, but as a long string of words:
Would you say THAT looks better?! I THINK NOT!!
