Trimming the videos to select key moments then combining them into one longer video

A full description of the problem:

After using the new trim function, the audio on the video clips plays back at a slower speed, making it impossible to edit accurately. The visual content continues to run at normal speed, meaning that the clip will invariably finish before the now slower audio track has completed. This often happens when playing back with the new playhead. The video thumbnails continue to play at a normal speed, and new videos that were uploaded together can often play normally in the timeline, but once they are affected by the editing process they continue to play back slowly in the timeline.
