Same problem here. It really sucks because I was SOO happy when Nextel came out with the Motorola i1. Finally I would have a smartphone with NEXTEL, that was not a Blackberry! And it was great at first. I loved playing YouTube, I loved surfing the net, checking my Gmail and all the apps! I was happy. I did have to download the youtube.apk but it was easy and worked awesome.

Then, they (Motorola) came out and said, sorry we are not updating this phone any more. Android was to stay 1.5. I thought, shoot ok, who cares as long as I can play YouTube I'm good....

Yeah that didn't last long, round like September time frame, no youtube could be played. That stupid annoying message of it not being able to play video. And it has never worked since.

Then I see the new Motorola i1 update and some said it was going to fix the you tube app and yeah, LIES! It fixed NOTHING! And now? My phone runs slower, it seems to take up more battery life. I'm not happy. All I want is to play YouTube vids. I mean shoot, if I can't have a higher android version, I can't even play Angry Birds, for the love of whomever you believe in, can I PLEASE play YOU TUBE!?
