Seriously if it takes that much effort to bring an X back then there are clearly issues with the underlying design. If it was designed well it wouldn't take more than a few days at the most including testing (going by the current design beta testing appears to have been skipped or more accurately the current homepage design is a beta) to make the changes.
Either way its a case of too late for me now I am sticking to the my_subscriptions(even though it does still have the homepages issue of nearly 50% wasted empty grey "whitespace"  - that is another issue that really needs addressing) as my YT homepage well unless you completely screw that up as well.
