More filtering:

The popularity of the request to add an X button back also suggested to us that we weren’t putting enough interesting content on the page,

How did you arrive to this conclusion? People want the X button back, not because the front page isn't interesting enough, but so we can clear out videos we've already watched or don't want to watch. It has nothing to do with being interesting, and everything to do with clearing unwanted clutter. It's not because we're just not seeing the right content. It's getting rid of stuff we simply don't want to see. Filters don't help because they can't filter certain videos from people we're subbed to.

Channel names and thumbnails are now less prominent, and titles have more emphasis

I would just like to point out that for the record, our original homepage did this just fine. We didn't have to focus on who uploaded them because they were all ordered according to who uploaded them.. not this cluster of videos we have based upon no order except "Last uploaded".

If you genuinely care at all, about what people have to say, then why not address the massively growing number of people who don't want this layout at all? Why not address the fact that since day fucking one, we've said "Give us our old homepage back"? Why not address the fact that not everyone cares to have the same exact channel design as everyone else on the site?

If the above feedback is what you guys honestly got from what everyone has been saying for the last 3 months or so, there is just really no hope at all for you guys as a company.
