Hi, I've looked around on the forums a lot and I've gotten a few of my questions answered. However, there are still a lot on my mind that I couldn't quite find the answers to. So I'd like anyone's help. 1) A few of my gaming commentary videos have been marked as matched third party content. Would it be alright if I disputed it as fair use? I realise that the video content, and some of the ingame music and such are not mine, however am I not providing original content as I am putting my own twist on it by playing through it my way, and providing commentary? 2) If I did dispute the claim as fair use, and it turned out not to be. Would it be possible that my account could get suspended? Or perhaps into other trouble? 3) If I have too many videos marked as matching third party content, could that also get my account into any sort of trouble? 4) I have actually disputed 3 or 4 claims before as fair use, and the copyright match was removed. So now they are free of the flag "matched third party content". I recall saying they were fair use because I wasn't earning money from them. However, what if eventually I got partnered by a network suchas Machinima? Then I would actually BE earning money from the video. Could that get me into trouble? Even though I couldn't foresee that I would actually monetize the video in the future? Perhaps there could be a way I could avoid that? I'd appreciate any help on this matter, and any of the questions. Thanks a lot in advance! |
