REQUEST: 

Please don't change the channels to the new version! I manage 5 "cause" channels for my nonprofit, and all of the best elements of these channels that people love -- that provide educational information, community, and interaction -- would be destroyed or made too inaccessible with the new channels. (I.e. Channel comments, moderator module with questions, recent activity, lengthy informative description area, easy full view of most favorites and playlists, full list of recommended channels, modules of friends, subscribers and subscriptions, etc.)

See one of my my organization's channels and imagine it the new way:

90% of it would be gone or so inaccessible that it might as well be gone. It would devastate my cause and the same would happen for all others who have channels similar to mine that provide a lot of educational information and engage a lot with their audience and supporters.

1) Where is ADD AS FRIEND?

2) What additional features do Partner and YouTube Nonprofit channels have in the new design that regular channels don't? (All of my organization's channels will be becoming official YouTube Nonprofit channels in 2012.)

3) Do YouTube Nonprofit channels of the new design still have the ability to have a Google donations area/checkout cart on their channel?

4) Why are you changing the channels design when the vast majority of YouTube users are very happy with the way the channels are now, (that they have worked very hard to customize), and when they are extremely UNHAPPY with the new version? It seems this would not be helpful to YouTube or anyone as it will cause people to leave.

5) Will the switch to the new channels remain permanently optional?
