The setup for the new channel design is absolutely hideous. It seems to lack some of the most basic easy-to-use functionalities which are currently available- namely, the ability to scroll and load through videos without opening a different list page, the ability to see comments within a boxed in, designated area, the ability to customize (because truly when I checked out the new channel functionality, it seemed not to be customizable at all.)
The new uploading tool has its own set of problems- when entering data such as tags, if you don't enter and save it quickly enough, once it processes, you can't add any more data or it doesn't appear on the video, forcing you to re-enter it. Also this too is less organized than the previous uploader (which I have continued using and will as long as possible.)
Why try to fix something that, quite frankly, isn't broken, works just fine, and is SUPERIOR to the new channel design? The last design change was a major improvement over the 2007-style Youtube, and most people agreed such was the case, this new update looks like it was coded by a bunch of orangutans.
Seriously let the sleeping dog lay... Innovations which bring greater usability and functionality are good, but that doesn't mean changing design is necessary or a good idea in this case. I see absolutely zero problems with the current page layout.
