@Google,

While you own the rights to YT, it had become a piece of national heritage long before you bought it, and therefore it also belongs to the users/customers that made it what it is today.  In that respect You TUBE is much like that iconic soft drink, CocaCola.

When the CocaCola company changed the forumla for Coke back in the 80s and called it "New Coke" the outrage was almost immediate as long time customers tasted something that was NOT COKE and it was horrible!

CocaCola realized that while they owned the rights to the product, the customers had made it the outrageously successful icon we all know and love and within a very short time the company returned Coke to the original formula.

The question is can Google learn from the mistakes of other companies like CocaCola?....I wish they could but unlike Google,
The CocaCola Company has never seemed to have the arrogant, "customer/user be damned streak" that Google does.
