I am not at all resistant to change, when change is an improvement.  Karl, I can only tell you that I tried the new channel design, and I cannot stand it.  It is terrible.  Where did Favorites go?  Where did Comments go?  Why are all videos, whether posted, commented upon, or merely viewed with a sidelong glance, all shown together in one confused and confusing stream?  Why are the length limits on channel information so much more limited with the new design?  Where did the Add Friend link go (even after switching back immediately to the old channel design myself, now I cannot find any Add Friend link or button on the channels of the users who have adopted the new channel design)?  Where did all the customization options, such as colors and transparency go (the new channels are all terribly generic and uniform in appearance)?  I could write paragraphs more.  I do not intend any disrespect, Karl, but quite honestly, I have lost all faith, by now, that YouTube actually cares about its massive body of individual users.  With every new change introduced, functionality has generally been reduced.  The inability to send videos out to all Friends (if one can even add a Friend, somehow, who is using the new channel design), is another of seemingly countless downgrades.  YouTube should be supporting extensive video sharing.  We come to YouTube, to be exposed to new videos, and to share the ones that we make, ourselves.  The new channel design is, please forgive my bluntness, just yet another tremendous downgrade, in every possible way.  Eventually you will indeed kill your own business, through such continued disrespect of your user base.  Sometimes I think only two possibilities exist:  either YouTube has simply entirely become a slave to big corporate interests (without realizing that their advertising will be seen, by fewer people, as more people simply "give up" on YouTube altogether) — or all of the designers at YouTube are mentally retarded.  That, is my honest opinion.  THE NEW CHANNEL DESIGN IS TERRIBLE IN EVERY WAY AND SHOULD BE TERMINATED COMPLETELY, IMMEDIATELY!
