I made the switch to AVCHD not long ago. I've found that it takes about 90 minutes of upload time per one minute of HD video. For instance a six minute video I submitted earlier this evening is still estimating eight hours and change two hours into the process. For the record, this is a 1.3 GB file.
How can I speed this up without compromising quality? Premiere Elements has lots of output options but a lot of them I have experimented with look like poop. The upload to YouTube preset option uploads 30 times faster (about 3 minutes of upload time per minute of video) but the tropical underwater movies I make suffer as a consequence of whatever downconverting is going on. |
