Seriously? That was the biggest crock of B.S. I've read in a long time. Sorry. Not buying it. Google does not have to be "light-hearted" all the damn time. And with all the creativity at Google and so-called great minds, you can't tell me there isn't someone who could come up with a respectful display that doesn't need a magnifying glass to be noticed. Why couldn't it at least have been larger and more prominent? That demure little emblem insignificantly low on the page was utterly disgraceful and disappointing. I almost didn't notice it at all.
