I too would like to add my voice to this forum and beg please! bring back the timeline search function. As a Teacher Librarian in a high school, I showed this to so many students and it was most helpful in giving them the big picture - how events shaped up. None of the news archive suggestions give this overview. Such a shame to remove it.
