I want to submit an idea to google. I don't know if you have a method to do this, if not please consider one.
First please tell me how or who to submit my idea to, in the meantime here is an over view:
The idea has to do with present the data from a search. It would be like a visual relational database where a person types in a keyword or key subject. The presentation interface would be in the form of a visual tree of knowledge with the root being the keyword, then the trunk, limbs, branches, twigs, leaf stems, leafs and finally seeds. As a person explores the tree of information, all relational information, the tree lights up so the person can see where he has been and jump around without getting lost. He can save the tree for later exploration. One tree will be connected to others so there will be a forest, multiple forests and so on. The trees would be generated and others can explore your trees (where you have explored) and vice versa although they cannot see where you have been, they can only see the tree that you have generated not the trace.
The tree could be displayed in different ways, one branching vertical resembling an oak tree
Another may be a like a geneology type tree branching sideways or down
What would also be really cool is a time slide bar where a person can slide back in time and only show information pertaining to that time. Much like a time slide bar used in maps to show the differences over time.
Say I did a search for automobile say a ford then as I slide the time slider back in time, I would see older and older cars and as I slid the slider forward in time the later cars would appear. So I could not only see current data but past data and even future ides. As I slid the time, my tree of knowledge would also change either growing or shrinking. The tree of aviation for instance would be a mere seedling back in 1900 compared to what it is today. The limbs branches twigs and so on represent the numerous topics associated with aviation . . .
Take the tree "Automobile" and imagine how the tree would look in 1900 and how it would grow over the years to today and even the future . . . although the future is not available, it can show futurist ideas. So by just moving a slider bar, a person can see the tree grow just as one would in real life. We could see the growth of civilization or any given subject, any given country or society or view or anything that can be data mined.
Now look at the tree from a different perspective. When I do a search for a keyword using Google today, I get a big list of flat links to chose from. If I leave that on my screen and go to bed, when I get up in the morning the same list is still there. Not so with this tree. If I leave this on the screen or if I close it down, the next morning when I call it up, the tree has grown, it has new information on it. The search engine continues to find more, add more just as in real life. As I am exploring the tree, it adds to information. I can see leaves sprouting, seed connecting to other trees of relative data. A seed might be jet fuel connected to the Fossil Fuel Tree and so on. In other words the tree would be a dynamic display as opposed to a flat static display like Google displays today.
I hope this brief overview makes sense to you. If you tell me who I can talk to I can send a far better explanation. Google is the best possible resource to present such concept. It would advance education by leaps and bounds coupled with Youtube we would not need teachers, only facilitators, people who work well with children. The best of the teachers would be used to make videos on every given subject and thought possible. The teacher would never interface with the child again, they would simply become the movie star and make one video that would be seen by millions rather than one teacher per 30 students. The idea of school, school teachers, school buildings, school buses is completely obsolete today and needs to be put in the museum where it belongs.
