I have found five recent discussions raising this problem:

To date, since July 2011, no acknowledgement from Google that the problem exists has been published.  At least not here.

THE PROBLEM:

When looking at Crawl Errors/Not Found for *ANY* Website, I see three options at the bottom of the page:

Download this table
Download all errors on this site
Download all sources of errors on this site

Selecting the third option, I download a CSV file that includes an EMPTY COLUMN labeled "Linked From".  I have been asked to review some sites that have thousands of crawl errors.  Now that the issue is affecting me personally, I'm here to add my voice to the growing litany of distress.

Googlers, "Any help here would be hot".  Unless you're planning to fix this issue in the next hour it probably won't do me any good to wait on your reply but I think many Webmasters would be happy to know that a fix is on the way.
