Crawling, indexing & ranking
We've experienced a drastic 90% decline in Google traffic at TheBestSongs.net. This site has 100% original content that took over 18 months of research. In addition, the song selections are so varied and vast, that it took over 6 months to simply add the links that allow people to download an individual song from iTunes and Amazon.
The site had been ranking on the first page of google for over 3000 terms such as "best songs for a funeral" for almost 2 years. We are astonished at the loss of rankings. We are still ranked high by Yahoo and Bing, which is where most of our traffic is now coming from.
We feel that the algorithm change has lowered the SERP results by mistake, perhaps because of the over 6000 links we have on the site to particular songs on iTunes and Amazon. May we please request a manual reconsideration of thebestsongs.net?
