Crawling, indexing & ranking
I am the administrator and publisher of Living Fit, Healthy and Happy. I created my website in 2007 because I have an interest in health and wellness. I believe that people should have more than one source of information about a given topic so in addition to writing articles (I use the pen name "healthy_blogging") I provide posts supplied from article directories and those submitted by guest writers. I ALWAYS look for quality articles, grammatical errors and scientific inconsistencies, etc. I also forbid the publication of articles that point to cloaked sites. I even submit DMCA complaints to Google regarding people who plagiarize or scrape content. This has always been my policy yet Google has penalized my site. I resent the fact that Google has taken it upon itself to rank sites as spammy and providing no value. I agree that there are spam sites on the internet but when science domains rank on page 30 for phrases such as "alternate day fasting" while sites that many would deem as content farms rank on page 1 for the same phrase, it makes one wonder what is going on with Google's algorithm.
The articles that I write are primarily science based and reference the original source of the material. To me this is important not only because proper citation shows sincerity, but it allows readers to go to such and such journal to for more information about the topic. My work is not low quality. Nor is my sites made for adsense (MFA). The "Panda" update has done a great disservice to Living Fit, Healthy and Happy. I had believed that your company operated on a code of honor and valued honesty. You have proven me wrong, those qualities obviously have no relevance to Google. Living Fit, Healthy and Happy was created to help people, it is an honest website and I enjoy what I do. I will continue to do what I do - publishing for people who value my work. I never created it with Google in mind, but to help others to lead a healthy lifestyle.
