Crawling, indexing & ranking
On Feb. 24 and thereafter I lost a large percentage of my United States traffic, per my Google Analytics stats. I am baffled by this, since I am certain that mine is a high-quality website with absolutely original content. Please consider, for my site http://www.jimfeeney.org —
• The site is entirely nonprofit. We take no ads, sell no links, accept no money for anything. I fund the website out of my own pocket for the benefit of the reading public.
• All the content is original. I have written every page myself. And the quality of writing is good. I am a former English teacher.
• I am a recognized expert in my field, holding an earned Ph.D. in the subject matter of the website.
While I realize that there will be no "manual" changes for individual websites, I would sincerely appreciate someone telling me what aspects of my website could possibly have run afoul of the new algorithm. As noted above, the content is nonprofit, entirely original, well written, and authored by a recognized expert in the field covered by the website.
