I find your comments disturbing.
First of all - even Google will agree that in an algorithm change of this scale, some good sites are hurt. I understood that this thread was to point out the anomalies in the algorithm, so Google can fine-tune. A commendable effort on Google part. You looked at a dozen and generalized for the 100+ sites being discussed, some of which are quality sites feeling real pain.
I would even go one step further - the sites that you call "crap" were raised on a steady diet of Google traffic. Time and money were invested creating sites that Google liked to send traffic to. Google fed this monster. As a user, I am glad to see some of these sites dropped from the top results, but I can empathize with the individuals and companies who have seen their business crash overnight. No one deserves that.
No need to reply. You have your opinion and I have mine. Lets hope Google does the right thing.
