Crawling, indexing & ranking
I have a two years old site about tablets (www.alltouchtablet.com) which features almost 1000 articles, all unique, written by yours truly. In all this time I've managed to test some products in worldwide exclusivity and got cited from authority sites like gizmodo, engadget and several others from my niche.
Now, after the update I'm down 30-40% in US traffic, so my earnings have fallen down considerably. I've even lost some positions for those products I've tested in exclusivity (those articles got lots of strong links) and I don't understand why this happened. I've never sold or bought links, never copied content from others. I got links naturally or by guest posting on sites from my own niche.
I'm always receiving compliments from my readers about my writing style and the way I explain things to them. I have over 4000 subscribers so I don't think that would have been possible if I was a content farm or a scrapper site.
Hope this algorithm gets tweaked a bit as I'm sure the original intent was good, but a lot of good sites got penalized by this change.
