I've read the FAQs and searched the help center. My URL is: http://goo.gl/PWymYI've verified websites with the HTML file method before without any problems so I'm surprised that this one isn't going through. I uploaded the HTML file via FTP. The link works, I even double-check the file in Notepad+ to make sure there's nothing but the one line from Google, but then when I click verify, Google finds this: <html><body><script>document.cookie='nnnnnnn=80b3fe21nnnnnnn_80b3fe21;
path=/';window.location.href=window.location.href;</script></body></html> Where is this coming from?? Now I read in the forums that the
"cookie" part might be showing up because of multiple logins, but I'm
only logged into one account. I even double-checked, logged out, did all the clearing of the cookies,
closing the browser, etc. and I still have the same problem.
I've tried verifying my website using a meta tag, but that also fails. I have Wordpress installed so I tried inserting the meta tag into my header.php directly underneath the <head> tag. I'm less experienced with this method of verification so maybe I'm placing the meta tag in the wrong Wordpress file?
Thanks for your help! This is driving me nuts.
